HAPPY BAND WEAVING!!

Serenity—100% Reeled Silk
  --thread size is between a 5/2 and 3/2 perle (a heavy lace-weight)
--this 2-ply thread has a bit softer twist than a typical perle thread
--each of the 2-strands is comprised of many parallel, unbroken silk filaments
--the minimal twist keeping the silk filaments together, paired with the softer ply twist, gives this silk the most sheen and luster of any of Treenway Silks’ threads

Zen Shin—100% Spun Silk
--thread size is between an 8/2 and 10/2 perle (a skinny lace-weight)

Both silks are from the Bombyx mori silk worm, often referred to as "mulberry" silk.

About Dyeing & Washing Instructions

Hand-dyed in Colorado--color fast.
We use acid dyes for all of our silk dyeing.
We heat the silk until all of the dye is absorbed.  We allow the silk to cool down overhight.
We rinse the silk until the water runs clear.

Wash instructions:  Using a drop or two of a mild soap, wash in cool or COLD water for no more than 5 minutes.  Let dry.  Iron, if desired, using the Silk setting on your iron.
