Hand-Painted A1 Quality Tussah Silk Roving

This has lovely golden tans with watery blues and soft sagey greens.  The overall effect is peaceful.  We entroduced at Quilt Market and several customers say it reminded them of sand & surf.  

Salt Spring Island colorways are hand-painted in Colorado.  Our silks are colorfast and our colorways are consistent.  Hand-painting silk roving is a labor-intensive process. It requires careful manipulation and effort to achieve even color coverage on silk roving.
