Kit - Rigid Heddle Weaving - "Ribbed Stripes" Silk Scarf
LIMITED EDITION Rigid Heddle Weaving Kit designed and woven by Peg MacMorris
Peg’s design inspiration was a technique by Jane Patrick using bundles of warp threads grouped in one slot, producing a vertical “rib”.
Peg used 6-thread bundles of Jorie II silk to make a lustrous rib in this silk scarf--no special reed needed--you'll use your 10-dent reed.
Peg’s ribs are interspersed with areas containing Noil Silk, creating a subtle color and weave effect. Noil is an economical silk with a lovely, “rustic” feel.
COLORS:
We've woven this with a light, a medium and a dark color, each paired with Natural Noil. Love all of the combinations!
We've dyed our popular colors in Jorie Silk Yarn. Then to add a bit of fun, we've dyed the Noil Silk Yarn in a few colors and paired these with the new Jorie colors. You'll have to use your imagination to "see" these combinations--but weavers always have great imaginations!
If the color combinations shown in the photos to the left don't appear in the drop-down box, then we are out of that color combo. **email us at info@TreenwaySilks.com or call us toll free 1.888.233.7455 (silk) and ask to be put on the dye list.
