Tussah silk is a naturally a lovely pale honey color, and we love this paired with Muga silk (Carmela or Carmelina).  A lovely, subtle, natural color combination. 

When planning your project, keep in mind that this silk will shrink a bit ... various weavers have experienced 11-25% shrinkage in warp length and 10-13% in width, depending upon structure and sett/PPI (more open means more potential shrinkage).

Our skeins sizes vary a bit in size, ranging between 190-210grams, with the average cone being 200 grams. 

We’ve listed the price for the AVERAGE weight cone.  We charge by the gram, so if your cone is a bit lighter, you’ll pay a bit less and if your skein is a bit heavier, you’ll pay a bit more.  If you need specific yardage for a project, please let us know in the comments section at check out so we can select the correct cone(s) for you.
