Strips of silk sari approx ½" – 1" wide have been sewn together to make one continuous kaleidoscope of woven silk ribbon.  

The photo of the shawl was knitted with sari ribbons (size 35 needle, one stitch per inch) and the project on the Handwoven cover was woven with sari ribbons.  

As this silk is dyed in India, we recommend washing the silk in luke-warm water--to check for color-fastness--BEFORE using in your project.  (If your final will never be washed, then you can skip this step.)

Our skeins sizes vary quite a bit in size, ranging between 80-300grams, with the average skein being between 100-150g. 

We’ve listed the price for 100g skein.  We charge by the gram, so if your skein is a bit lighter, you’ll pay a bit less; if your skein is a bit heavier, you'll pay a bit more.  If you need specific yardage for a project, please let us know in the comments section at check out so we can select the correct skein(s) for you.
